Duties: Design Fire Alarm systems to ensure complete system compliance, performance, and completion. Design Fire Alarm Systems based on scope of work as outlined in the Sales Contract while ensuring the design meets all applicable codes and standards. Participate in pre bid reviews along with site surveys to develop a clear understanding of the scope and magnitude of the project. Responsible for working with the drafting team for completion of preliminary construction and final as-built drawings to include system design, calculations, submittals, O&M’s and other related documents as required by the customer and AHJ. Responsible for working with local AHJ’s on the required permits process utilizing the proper transmittal forms. Responsible for providing material lists and vendor information to Procurement on a timely and consistent basis. Provide accurate scheduling and backlog information to the Operations Manager. Interface with local AHJ’s, Customers, Contractors and RFI Technical Personnel. Regular on-site meetings at customer’s site may be required. Maintain accurate documentation and backup all information on network drives. Perform other duties as necessary under the direction of Management. Maintain accurate job costing information both pre-sale and post sale. Adhere to procedures and standards for quality installations and service. Maintain accurate project information with in RFI shared files and back up systems. Maintain communications with clients to include monitoring satisfaction and resolving customer issues. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision. Ability to organize workload for effective implementation. Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves. Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and emerging technologies. Other duties deemed necessary.
